Linear Series Microphone CK61-ULS
Cardioid
-
Should
be used in surroundings with non-ideal, but very good acoustics. This microphone
may be placed close to the source without emphasis of specific frequencies
in the spectrum (with the exception of the low frequency boost due to the
proximity effect commonly found in connection with directional microphones.)
It's very flat response makes it a good choice where accurate spectral
information is desired. For ambient recordings of nature sounds and close
stereo recordings of orchestral or chamber music , it is an excellent choice.
For far field recording, it's flat response may produce a more distant
perspective than a brighter microphone (i.e. one with a treble rise). The
uniform polar response of this capluse insures a very stable and deep soundfield
at a variety of included angles For the best results use with the Oade
Brothers Audio M212 or M248 microphone preamp/power supply.
